Inicio de Trabalho / Started Work

Inicio de trabalho
Semana passada inicei meu trabalho no projeto Formacao de  Professores (Teacher Training in Chilangoma).

Started Working
Last week I began working on the project of teacher education (Teacher Training in Chilangoma). This project aims to train teachers to work in rural communities. Rural communities in Malawi has a huge shortage of teachers and also in this area that concentrates 80% of the poverty of the country.
Prospective teachers have as curricular subjects, English, Women's Advocate, Entrepreneur, Community Leader and Worker Health. The teaching methodology and consists of theory and practice, ie, classroom and work in rural communities.
The prior work in this discipline Women's Advocate confess that when I got a little lost in the classroom for the first time to be nervous all new and not really understand what would develop. But on the day to day work with students, I realized that rather than theoretically informed about women's rights principal focus and awareness of the power of women before the society.Nevertheless get the female Marxist bias present here too.
Unfortunately, prejudice and sexism Malawian society will be very strong and have many years of work for the real situation reverse female.
Some students questioned me if I was married and had children. My answer to not being married and not have interbred generated a shock, but tried to explain in a positive way that does not need to be married to be happy, finally they respected my OPINION but I felt that not agree with my idea.
Finally, the exchange of experiences in the classroom, I believe this is valuable for both parties!

Ensaboa Mulata ensaboa..... Laundry

 Tô lavando a minha roupa......

Olha a água!
Um pinguinho assim
O tanque!
Um tanquinho assim
A roupa!
Um tantão assim...
Ensaboa mulata
Ensaboa!
Ensaboa!
Tô ensaboando...
Eu não sou daqui
Eu não tenho nada
Tristeza não tem fim
A felicidade sim
Meu coração é a liberdade...
  Composicao de Mestre: Cartola

Laundry
Today was a day of washing my clothes and realized that everything in life and a matter of adaptcao the means possible in my case and bring clothes in a bucket with a stone soap.

This course and my new life, all people here in this village use Proceso: bucket and soap stone. Nothing in the post-modern manner, however, the final and perfect: clean clothes!
And funny that we think we're prepared for anything, so they put the preparation takes place in everyday experience.

Everybody run, run, run
Everybody run, run, run
Everybody scatter, scatter
Some people lost some blood
Someone nearly die
Colonial mentality...

They leave sorrow
Tears and blood...

Sweet Home/ Doce Lar

Sweet Home
My new home is very nice and simple. However my feeling is like to be one person of middle class in Brazil that living in Africa. Why middle class? - Because there are the basic sanitation, bed, bathroom and Kitchen in my home. Oops! And I also have Internet!! I am living in Chilangoma, small village in Malawi
The marjority of houses here doesn't have basic sanitation, people can't have bed for sleeping. Nevertheless, the interesting approach to situation is the happiness that people living in the area have.
I didn't see any people here who complain about its problems. They just live.
I know this community has so many problems, but I can learn a good lesson about being humble.
And this community sends all volunteers the greatest lesson: We don't need too much to be happy!!

Doce Lar
Sim Internet, numa pequena villa do Malawi.

O mais engracado desta historia foi ouvir a outra voluntaria ( from dinamarca) dizer: Ana this is Africaaa!!!

Challenge for Ana
My biggest challenge here in Malawi and overcome the fear of these animals near my house. I thought that the only problem would be that mosquisto Malaria, however this morning awoke to the sound of a rat trying to climb in my bed. It was not easy I almost fainted, but I had strength to cry out and the worm was scared more than me and left.
In the morning I asked for another volunteer to check if he was still in my house but luckily we do not, it seems that he entered and exited through the door that space.
The funniest of this story was to hear the other volunteers (from denmark) say this is Africaaa Ana!

Conhecendo Malawi /To get to know Malawi

Conhecendo Malawi
Malawi e lindo!!!
Nao quero parecer a “sociologa critica” que so observa e nao propoem solucao , so quero dividir tudo que vejo aqui.

To get to know Malawi
Malawi, it is Amazing!!! There are many moutains and people are humble and kind. Nevertheless, all those beauties are obscured with poverty presented on the streets in Lilongwe and Blantyre.
I couldn't explore too much in Lilongwe because I just landed there, but in Blantyer a poverty is visible in all parts. You can't see this situation around the Financial Center and government Home, and these are only five streets in Blantyer
The other thing that I want to tell is about deforestation of the trees.
People cut the trees for commercialization of furniture's. I am not a expert to talk about deforestation but I know the importance of trees for environmental balance and for animals' life. Without vegetation how animals can survive?
Worst of all, the deforestation is legal, that is we can see how the future will be in this small Country that already has so many social problems like desnutrition, epidemic of HIV,AIDS and Malaria.
I don't want be “critical sociologist” that only observe and make theories which don't change the situation. I want to share all that I see here with people.
It may seems hypocritical to talk about awareness and education when the stomach is empty and the body is tired of the daily struggle. But if I lose hope, it does not make sense to be here.
